HIV Research Team
The HIV Research Team in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Bradley Hospital and Hasbro Children’s is a collaborative group of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, medical students, and undergraduate volunteers dedicated to improving HIV prevention and care. Our overarching goal is to advance HIV and PrEP treatment and adherence through interventions (including mHealth) and the rigorous development, evaluation, and scale-up of implementation strategies. Our work spans intervention development and implementation science with both adolescents and adults, including multisite clinical trials across the United States.
In addition, we offer structured training and mentorship, including the NIMH T32 postdoctoral program in HIV biobehavioral research and a monthly HIV journal club. We also provide HIV-related mentorship in the NIH R25 research training tracks in the general psychiatry residency and the child psychiatry fellowship. Many of our investigators are active in the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) and its Implementation Science/HIV Scientific Working Group and collaborate closely with the Implementation Science programs at Brown University (BRIDGE) and Brown Health (ISBH).
