Clinical Psychologist

Sarah Joelson, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist with Brown University Health working at Hasbro Children’s in both integrated primary care and outpatient services. She sees patients in the Medicine Pediatrics Primary Care Clinic, the PACE Clinic, the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Clinic and is a provider with the Mi Gente Research Program.

Dr. Joelson is passionate about increasing access to care for underserved youth and families. Clinically, her areas of focus include family therapy, pediatric psychology, gender-affirming care, as well as mood/anxiety disorders. 

She earned a doctor of psychology in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Consortium at Palo Alto University in California. Dr. Joelson completed her internship/resident training at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center/Weill Cornell Medicine in the South Bronx of New York specializing in child and adolescent care, crisis intervention, inpatient services and integrated primary care. She completed her fellowship with Brown University at Hasbro Children’s providing care through the Consult/Liaison Service, Hasbro Partial Hospitalization Program and outpatient services.
