Joshua Kemp, PhD

Clinical Psychologist and Innovation Officer

Joshua Kemp, PhD, is a clinical psychologist at the Pediatric Anxiety Research Center at Bradley Hospital and the innovation officer within Brown University Health’s Office of Research Administration. In addition, he is an assistant professor in the department of psychiatry and human behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Kemp's research focuses on training interventions to increase the dissemination of high-quality exposure therapy or individuals with anxiety disorders in community mental health settings. He has secured several NIMH grant awards, including SBIR/STTR awards aimed at commercializing promising training innovations.

He received his doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Wyoming. He completed his internship and T32 post-doctoral fellowship in the Brown University Clinical Psychology Training Consortium.

He has co-authored publications on strategies for training exposure therapists as well as procedural strategies for increasing the effectiveness of exposure therapy.
