Inpatient Services

Inpatient Services

The inpatient unit offers acute psychiatric care for up to 19 children and adolescents who are struggling with mental health problems in the context of a developmental disability, such as intellectual disability and/or autism spectrum disorder. The goal of the program is to achieve stabilization and transition to lower levels of care. The treatment offered is multidisciplinary and caregiver-centered, focusing on decreasing behaviors interfering with the youth’s ability to be successful in their home and community.

The inpatient unit is a member of the National Autism and Intellectual Disability Psychiatric Care Collaborative.
