Henry Sachs, MD, an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, has been an attending psychiatrist at Bradley Hospital, treating children with autism and development disabilities for 23 years. As chief medical officer at Bradley Hospital, since 2007, Dr. Sachs has overseen the expansion of many clinical services including the creation of multiple partial programs and the Bradley Clinical Research Unit. In his role as the Lifespan medical director for child psychiatry and behavioral health, to which he was appointed in January 2014, Dr. Sachs has worked toward creating a coordinated system-wide child behavioral health service line.
Mary Sullivan, PhD, MA, BSN, is interim director of nursing at Bradley Hospital. She is responsible for nursing care delivery across all services in the hospital and is a member of the senior management team. In addition, Dr. Sullivan supervises the hospital’s infection control, family liaison, and utilization management departments. She joined Bradley Hospital in 1991 as director of utilization management.
Before coming to Bradley, Dr. Sullivan was a program director at Charles River Hospital in Wellesley and Norwood Hospital, both in Massachusetts, where she provided specialized mental health services to their psychiatric programs. Previously, she was a nurse manager on a 15-bed acute adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit as well as a nurse educator at Charles River Hospital.
Dr. Sullivan received her bachelor of science degree in nursing/psychology from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. After completing her master’s degree in psychology at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, she earned a doctorate in grief counseling from Breyer State University in Kamiah, Ohio.
Mary Wakefield is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Lifespan Corporation. Prior to her current position, she was Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Lifespan, she worked for KPMG LLP as an audit partner, specializing in health care clients during the last five years of her tenure. She received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and is a certified public accountant.
