The Pediatric Partial Hospital Program (PPHP) is a highly specialized family-based day treatment and comprehensive evaluation program for very young children from infancy through age six, who have serious emotional, behavioral, feeding, sleeping or relationship problems. The primary goal of the program is to help children remain safely at home while they and their families work on clinical problems that often warrant psychiatric/medical hospitalization or residential treatment.
The program creates a safe, comfortable and nurturing environment that helps children and their family members participate in therapeutic activities. The interdisciplinary treatment team includes clinical psychologists, child psychiatrists, nurses, pediatricians, milieu therapists, nutritionists, speech and language pathologists and support staff.
We work closely with families to develop a multifaceted and individualized treatment plan that recognizes each child's strengths and areas of difficulty and addresses specific psychiatric problems and concerns, while fully respecting each family's values and customs.
Children are admitted for an average of three to five weeks and attend the program for a minimum of six hours per day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
